The Rev. William Thomas died in Mobile Wednesday at the age of 81.
A native of the town of Black in Geneva County, Thomas entered the ministry in his early 20s and pastored around the South, including time at First Assembly of God in Chickasaw.
Thomas is survived by his wife, 5 children, 17 grandchildren and "many great-grandchildren," according to his obituary.
