TULSA, Okla. -- A 26-year-old Theodore man was arrested Monday in Tulsa and charged with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child, according to records at the Tulsa County Jail.
Christopher Alan Virden was being held for authorities in McDonald County, Mo., about 85 miles northeast of Tulsa, the jail records show.
On April 30, 2007, Virden was charged in Mobile with second-degree rape involving a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl, according to Press-Register archives. Online court records show the Mobile rape case was nol prossed, or not prosecuted, in August of that year.
That incident took place at a home on Windsor Court, Mobile police said. Virden gave Tulsa authorities an address on Creel Road in Theodore, according to the jail records.
Second-degree rape in Alabama is defined as sexual relations between any person 16 or older and a person between the ages of 12 and 16.
