Camp Bentley: Sparks behind Byrne explanatory site

Robert Bentley, Republican Governor campaign said Friday that his Democratic opponent, Ron Sparks, is behind the sites web promotion explanatory voice former rival GOP of Bentley, Bradley Byrne.

"This is an obvious attempt to remove Republican turnout," said Angi Smith, Director of Bentley campaign. "This is the latest in a long list of fraudulent acts by our adversaries.?

Sparks spokesperson Taylor Bright vigorously denied the charge, call a "facility" and a "desperate, dirty trick" by Bentley campaign.

Byrne ran against Bentley in the GOP primary, losing the bitterly contested the Tuscaloosa status during an election runoff representative nomination.

Friday Alabama Republican Party published documents in an online database indicating the name of "David Niesen" as the user registered the www.writeinbyrne.com site web.Les official campaign finance records show that a man of the same name has received thousands of dollars from the Sparks campaign in recent weeks – including more than $1,300, just two days before the form published by the Group of pictures shows the site was created.

As Friday afternoon, however, that web page was empty, either the message "this site is under construction."

Smith and the GOP state argue that Sparks campaign has instead used site www.writeinbyrne.org, which have contained until Friday to hide the participation of the Democratic campaign.

Smith or the Republican Party have managed to produce documents which connects the Sparks campaign to the .org site.

GOP Philip Bryan acknowledged that it was a "missing link" but when the Niesen payment shown in campaign finance records spokesperson said that money was given to the creation of the site.

Bryan said that he believed the .com site was never active, but Smith said that the site displays content a few days earlier and similar information has been posted on the site .org Friday.

The site referenced .org revelations in the press-registry as the Alabama - a teachers ' Union powerful closely with the Democratic Party - State Education Association supported by Bentley Republican runoff.

In a written statement, Byrne disavowed site, asked to be taken and said it planned to vote for Bentley.
