Passing the torch

To a new generation of commenters. Items:

* Lt. Gov. Bill Halter is going to be on a conference call tonight rallying phone banks trying to turn out voters for Jack Conway in Kentucky.

* The Lincoln campaign, bless 'em, is still ginning news releases about local spending Republican opponent John Boozman opposed, today almost $900,000 to train docs at Arkansas Children's Hospital. If Blanche Lincoln had not spent a dime of her $10 million, could it have turned out any worse?

* This just in: An appeals court has stayed a district judge's order ruling gay military ban unconstitutional. That means DADT remains in effect. That means it's time for Obama and Congress to listen to the troops and act.
