TILLMAN'S CORNER, Ala. -- A burglar set fire to a home in Tillman’s Corner late this afternoon, according to Mobile police and fire officials.

No one was injured.
Police spokesman Officer Christopher Levy said the burglar took items from the house at 8055 Hooper St. before setting the fire in a bedroom of the home. The incident was reported about 3:45 p.m.
Mobile Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Steve Huffman said the fire had nearly burned itself out by the time firefighters arrived, and there was only a small amount of material still smoldering.
Huffman estimated damage at $10,000 to the single-story home. He said neighbors told firefighters they had seen someone entering the home shortly before the fire started.
The Theodore-Tillman’s Corner Volunteer Fire Department fought the fire alongside Mobile firefighters.
