$2,500 reward offered for information on 2008 Whistler murder

MOBILE, Ala. -- A $2,500 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person involved in the 2008 murder of 43-year-old Melvin Devan Niles, Prichard police said in a news release Friday.

Niles was found shot to death inside his home in the 2900 block of Warren Street in the Whistler community on Dec. 6, 2008, officials said.

Anyone with any information in this case is asked to call the Prichard Police Department at 251-452-2211.
