Browning's setback

Browning's setback

Posted by Kat Robinson on Sun, Nov 21, 2010 at 7:43 AM

I swear, I'm not obsessed with Browning's (though I won't deny the possibility of a Browning's obsession amongst other Times staffers). But I have to add in this latest news, which will push back the opening of Browning's to January or later.

From the restaurant's Facebook page:
After further studying the conditions of the front portion of the building, we determined that it might not support the new Spanish clay tile material we want with certainty. So, we decided to rebuild this section. One step back, but this will not cause a major delay. We have now reframed the front while we continue with the interior and kitchen as planned. Please pardon our progress. Late Jan/ early Feb is the new target opening date - sooner if we are lucky! Thanks for your support.
