He was a youth football coach for more than 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Edmond Reed; grandmother, Eugenia Maples; and grandfather, Billy Reed. Survivors include his wife, Misty Huggins Reed; six children, Michael Paul Reed, Carlie Reed, Sam Hood, Morgan Hood, Edmond Reed II and Joby Reed; mother, Elaine "Penny" (Terry) Elmore; step-mother, Carrie Reed; three brothers, Kevin Reed, Michael Reed and Terry Elmore II; four sisters, Brandi Robinson, Angela Reed, Wendy Reed and Cheryl Payton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
